Where I’ve been

Posted by Amy on Apr-21-2009

No, I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth, though some may think so.

There’s not been much exciting going on around our house right now, plus “writer’s block” equals no posts.

Anyhow, here’s what I’ve been up to.  I’m going back to work.

Conception and Beyond is a turnkey store for Momma, Baby and Young Children. The business/site is for sale. You can see it live at www.conceptionandbeyond.com. This business is being sold through my new web design business, www.workathomedesignworks.com

Most of my readers aren’t aware that I designed and manufactured a line of cloth diapering accessories a few years ago.  In 2006, I sold the business, thinking I really just wanted to be a Stay at Home Mom.  I’m coming out of retirement with a fabulous line of products very soon. I’m ready to “rock-n-roll”! I’m so jazzed about my new businesses!

Other than that, not much is going on around our house.  Too many chickens equals we re-homed 9 last week.  We have about a dozen more to re-home, but we’re waiting to find out if they are roosters or pullets first.

I’ll be back soon!

Red and Blue Crochet Flannelghan Afghan

Yet another finished afghan!  The name of this pattern is called Lumberjack Flannelghan and the pattern can be found here.  I used Hobby Lobby’s store brand yarn “I Love This Yarn”. It’s super soft…almost feels like chenille.

It’s a gift for Christmas for *someone*. I hope they like it. ;-)

My first born turned 21

She went and did it!  Katie turned 21 on October 30.  I just can’t believe it.  Here’s a photo of her a few weeks before her birthday.

Katie

Here’s the afghan I made for Katie’s birthday gift.  I also purchased a couple of things for her, but this I made myself so she’d have something special for her 21st.

She loves camoflage and her favorite color is pink.  She really loves it!

Completed Projects

Completed:

Regular Ripple Afghan for Mike. Started in January, finally finished last week.  Made from yarn from my stash, plus had to add 2 colors (woo hoo, reason to buy yarn lol).  It is kind of narrow, but has TONS of stretch!  I want to make another one, but will use a larger hook to make a bigger afghan.

Here’s my purse I have been working on.

Now, on to finish my Snowflake Afghan!
